I woke up a bit late today, I didn't even notice when my oldies woke up. I slept really well last night, and so I am in a great mood today. And actually, today is a special day for my Mommy Flor and Mama Adelfa. So after changing my sleepwear to my regular clothes, I headed to where my mom and mama were and greeted them with Happy Birthday. Yep, they have the same birthday, my biological mom and my Auntie on my father's side, which is my Mommy Flor. Today is really a nice day, and so, we started the day with a happy heart.
Mommy F informed me last night about her plan to prepare a small feast today. It's really just simple, she wants us to prepare Ginisang Pancit. She also wants to buy pizza, but that role is already mine, so I told her about my plan to buy 3 boxes of pizza. So she said that she will just buy an ice cream. And that's the whole plan.
Early in the morning, I went to the market with Mama to buy the needed ingredients for the Ginisang Pancit. We're really early, even though the feast will happen in the afternoon. Well, this favors us, it's not that hot outside yet, and with that, it'll be more enjoyable to walk outside. I already know what we need to buy, so getting it is much easier.
And this is what we bought, a complete recipe for the Ginisang Pancit. Mom wants Kikiam in it too, but I reminded her that it's not good for her, so I told her to get squid balls and chicken meat. But then, there were no available squid balls, so I ended up getting chicken balls. Then we also bought a lot of vegetables. Pancit is the best if it's filled with vegetables. Right? Eh.
Mom tasked me with cooking the Ginisang Pancit, I said yes to it even though I didn't have experience cooking Ginisang Pancit before. Good thing, Mommy D volunteered to prepare it, she knows more about what to do. And although it is just a sautéed dish, they may not like how I prepared it, so I let Mommy D do the deed. It's better to leave it to the professional, lol.
And tadaaan! Here's the Ginisang Pancit prepared by Mommy D. Look at all the ingredients, we put a lot of veggies in there, but they all disappeared. Still, the meat and chicken balls are all visible, so it'll be easier to pick them later. Lolol. After cooking the Pancit, I then asked my Mama to accompany me to buy pizza. Pancit, I think, is perfect to eat with pizza. Ehe
Here we are in our favorite pizza stand. This has been our all-time favorite. I really like their pizza dough here. Aside from that, it is thick, and even if it's thick, when I request it to be a little toasty, it'll become really toasty, which I really love in my pizza. I just love the crunch it has, it feels heavenly. ƪ(‾.‾“)┐
And here's the three boxes of pizza. One box is for Mama because, according to her, it is not right to eat it alone, her pets have to eat it too. Lol. She'll be sharing this with her pets, haha. The flavors we got are Hawaiian Overload, Special Overload, and the Beef and Mushrooms. I really want to get their All Meat Special, but it's not available at the moment. Mama chose the special overload, and so she got it.
And there it is, I bought Coca-Cola to pair with my pancit and pizza this is already my lunch today. Same with the oldies. I actually didn't cook rice because I planned to eat a lot of pizza. Hehe. Look how happy Mom is. It's her day after all. ( ◜‿◝ )♡
30 minutes after eating Pizza and Pancit, Mon just decides to buy the ice cream. I mean, there's always a room for a dessert but seriously, I'm still full. But I can't resist the sight if this creamy ice cream. We bought the 2 in one ice cream with two flavor in it, double dutch and the cookies and cream. It's the best! There's a lot of bits of cookies, cashews, chocolate chips, and marshmallows in it. We all love it!
And that's how we spent our day today. It's a wonderful Wednesday with lots of food trip. Hahhhh, if only er can do this everyday ಥ‿ಥ.
