Choosing a menu for lunch, often becomes a worry for us as a housewife, because why don't we have to cook every day, for our beloved family at home, and we also have to make sure our family likes the food menu that we serve, but luckily here my husband and my child, they can be said to not like choosing food for lunch, whatever I cook they will eat with gusto, like today's lunch, I will cook a simple menu but I have never cooked it before, namely tofu

The tofu that I cook is not ordinary tofu but tofu that comes from Japan, this tofu is very soft like silk and the taste is also more savory and very delicious, cooked as a side dish or fried as a snack is also very delicious, this type of tofu is usually called silken tofu, the difference from ordinary tofu is probably only in its texture and how it is processed, while the main ingredients are both made from soybeans.

This is my first time making a lunch dish using silken tofu. I usually cook it with Indomie noodles or with enoki mushrooms, and it's equally delicious with enoki mushrooms.

So, for those of you who are curious about how to make it, just follow the steps I'll share in my post today.

Materials used

1 package of tofu
3 tablespoons cornstarch
4 green chilies
1 small tomato
2 shallots
1 clove of garlic

Manufacturing procedure

First

First, I opened the silken tofu packaging, then I cut the silken tofu into round balls and dipped them in cornstarch.

After everything is sprinkled with cornstarch, I fry it in hot oil until cooked, until it is golden brown, then I remove it and drain it.

Four

After it wilts a little, I add salt and add the fried silken tofu, then I cook it again for a few minutes, until the spices are absorbed.

RESULTS

and here is the result, the silken tofu is ready to be served, the color of the silken tofu is yellow like a yellow egg, making my child really want to taste it, he really likes eating tofu, but for this tofu I don't know if he likes it, we'll see later, after it cools down I will give it to my child

and it turns out that this silken tofu is very soft when you bite into it, even though it has been fried with cornstarch, this silken tofu is still very soft inside, very suitable for children or the elderly, who can no longer eat slightly hard foods, oh yes, about the taste, don't ask again, silken tofu cooked like this tastes savory, there is a slight spicy sensation too, basically it is perfect to eat with warm rice

Silken tofu with stir-fried chilies sounds amazing! 🌶️ Great lunch choice for the family! 👍
