Hello everyone!
I felt like eating something sweet, but not a chocolate bar, a biscuit or something like that. I felt like eating some cake, something homemade. The first thing that came to mind was American pancakes. A simple recipe, they are very tasty, and I can put whatever I want on them. I have to be honest and I felt like making something, so today you have pancakes for dessert on the menu. yummm...
I found this recipe online and it turned out to be great. I have another recipe, it requires yogurt. I don't recommend that recipe with yogurt, it's more difficult, only my grandmother knows how to make it according to that recipe, the pancakes turn out amazing if you know how to work with a yogurt recipe.
Now let's go to the kitchen to show you how I make pancakes, what recipe I use. Before we start, I have to warn you that if you decide to make American pancakes, your whole house will smell and there's a chance your neighbor will come over and eat everything...
These are the magic ingredients:
- oil or butter for greasing the pan
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup oil
- 2.5 cups of flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 2 cups of milk
- fruit, jam, cream for spread
I recommend using one size cup for taking the ingredients so that everything is equal.
First you need to mix all the dry ingredients. I went in this order:
FLOUR
SUGAR
BAKING POWDER
I add salt like Gordon Ramsay. Maybe they will turn out even tastier.
SALT
Now let's move on to the rest of the ingredients. First we need to separate the yolk from the white.
When I cracked the first egg, it was rotten. I don't want anyone to smell how rotten an egg smells...
I put the egg whites in a separate bowl, they need to be whipped nice and stiff, like snow.
Before beating the egg whites, I added the other ingredients:
MILK
OIL
Then beat all the ingredients together, making sure there are no flour lumps left.
Beat all ingredients together except egg whites.
Then beat only the egg whites.
I went a little overboard with beating the egg white. It just wouldn't pour into another bowl. It doesn't mind, I just found it interesting.
The egg whites must go into the other ingredients, never the other way around.
First, heat the frying pan well, then get to work. This is the most tedious and longest part. The ring should not be turned up all the way, but rather a medium temperature so that your pancakes do not burn.
When you pour the pancake batter into the pan, wait until you see holes, like in the photo, then flip to the other side.
And after about 45 minutes of baking the pancakes, they are all baked. Now you can enjoy them, add the spread you like the most. I personally add cream and banana, that's the winner combination for me.
I hope you enjoyed it, and that you didn't get hungry like I did. If you did, then go make them. I got hungry just looking at the photos, I'm going to eat them now...
I hope you enjoyed reading and looking at the photos. I enjoyed making this blog, I hope you did too. Until next time, "Regards!"
