Guys, do you like kvass?
Do you know what it is?
Some years ago thanks to my HiveSis @lynds I tried to make apple vinegar. This year - a new experiment with apples - homemade kvass!
I like fermentated food because it's extremely healthy, and fermentated drink aren't an exception.
We've some apple trees in our garden, and not all apples stay on the tree until they are ripe and tasty for eating. Sometimes they fall, most often the reason is in their great quantity or strong wind.
I was sorry just to bring them to garbage even if they were still not tasty and soft for eating. I started to seek for nice recipes of using them.
Kvass - apple fermentated drink was my choice.
I chose the best recipe where we don't need anything except apple, water and some bacteria.
I took:
apples (cut in peaces)
water
a glass of fermentated juice left from suerkraut (the source of bacteria). We can use a piece of dark bread made with natural yeast as well.
We put them all together into the glass bottle and wait for 3 days.
The reactios is obvious on the next day already!
I like this drink very much! It's super good for hot weather when we are thirsty all the time, and our body needs source of vitamins.
It's light, tasty and very healthy!
