Good day to everyone here on the Hive Community blogging platform.
How is everyone doing on this lovely day? I'm free now, so I thought let me write quickly. My daughter is sleeping, and my son is keeping himself busy.
Today I will share with you guys what I made for us. Who loves VETKOEK? (FATCAKE)
Here in South Africa, so many people like to eat VETKOEK.
I decided to make VETKOEK and mince.
Come and have a look at what I made for us.
I made the dough earlier in the day, and I didn't take pictures while making the dough, but let me show you guys when it was done before I was baking the vetkoek.
After the dough was ready to use I kneed it nicely once again. Then I made some circles and let it rise again for a few minutes.
I thought I had had enough oil, but when I looked, I didn't have much.
Oh boy, I was stressing a little bit. But guess what? I made it, and it came out nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I was so happy about it because I was stressing about it.
What most South Africans like is a filling with vetkoek.
I decided to make mince meat with the vetkoek.
I made the mince, and what I added to the mince was an onion 1 tomato, and 1 sweet pepper. I cut everything up and add everything to the frying pan with a little bit of oil to fry.
When the onion mixture was soft, I added the beef mince to it.
I add a little bit of water and some spices. When the mince was cooked in thick, I made a little bit of sauce and let it be thicker. And while my food is ready to eat.
Where there is food, the baby must taste, haha. I gave her peace to taste. Oh boy, she loved it.
I hope that everyone is doing well here in South Africa. It's winter, and these few days are cold.
Have a blessed day and may you guys enjoy what you are doing. Cheers for now, speak again soon.
