Christmas day, since the kids are visiting their godparents asking for some aguinaldos, our family decided to spend our holiday outside our home. We are not expectant of visitors coming into our home as we live far away.
My goddaughter is in Biñan, and she's quite old already to receive something from me.
Since moving here to San Pablo, April and I talked about visiting Paseo de San Pablo. The place has been trending in the past year as there's a lot of signage and displays around but when we went there, it felt like it was a ghost town.
Not eating our brunch, we arrived at Paseo around 11 in the morning. There are establishments, but the majority are closed and will be open at 1 in the afternoon. We then figured out that nighttime is the best time to go there but we cannot do so since we have a little one with us.
Leaving us with no choice - we decided to dine in Bern & Sizzle.

We were greeted by the server as he handed us the menu, onset he mentioned that some of the items included on the menu are not available such as buttered shrimp, milkfish, and the steak. The one's available are just the fried chicken, sisig and burger steak. Each meal costs around 119 PHP or around two dollars and if you want to have two viands you can do so by adding 59 PHP thus the total would be three dollars a meal.
I picked the burger steak with sisig and April picked the fried chicken. For our drinks, I ordered Lemon and Kiwi Coolers.
The place is neatly organized, all stuff that you will be needing when eating is available except for a water dispenser :( they do not have one available and there's no glass too. I wasn't able to ask if there's service water but most likely there's none.
We waited around ten to fifteen minutes for our order to arrive. Dyn-Dyn and April are roaming around the area since there's few people visiting the place and I just took some pictures while waiting.

Served on a sizzling plate, the chicken is humongous! It is also covered with their gravy at first I thought that the taste would be off but to my surprise, it wasn't. The gravy complimented the chicken very well. My order was the sisig and burger steak, this didn't fail the taste test too! I enjoyed the sisig, it was not too spicy and I did not even squeeze the calamansi to this food anymore. Burger steak, I can say that it tastes better than Jollibee.

The lemon cooler taste good. It was refreshing I think it is carbonated water with lemon flavor added. It was sweet but not overpowering, if I can compare maybe taste like Sprite with some yellow coloring if I only knew that the taste was so good I could have made it the biggest size.
The Kiwi was a disappointment. In one sip, I knew that I cannot finish it. It was too sweet and the kiwi syrup was still on the bottom part of the cooler. Instead of being refreshed, I thirst for more water. April did take a sip of the kiwi drink too but didn't enjoy it as well. It was extremely sweet. We didn't finish this drink. I ordered two bottles of water to quench our thirst as there's no service water/tap water available for drinking.
We may visit this place to eat in the future since the taste of the food is good. We will just bring some water to complement everything. The staff working are nice and accommodating too!
