A good boss can make work enjoyable, but money can make leaving difficult.

This question got me thinking if a job I once left because of how verbal abusive the boss was, had a lot to do with how I chose to react to his behaviours or it's really all about just his behaviour.
You know sometimes we don't even consciously react to these abusive bosses but because mentally we're tired and sick of those act
Our condition has conditioned us not to react to those types of boss because of the money sometimes
That's really too bad, I'm learning to not let that be the case for me anymore sha. Relying on another human for survival can be very risky if the person is messed up.
Not really like you're relying though. It's just the fear of not getting another source of income when you're actually in dire need of one

Verbal abusive? Some people are called "boss" with zero boss quality in them. They always think being like that will make people respect them or be afraid of them

And the annoying thing is they were once an employee too and funny thing is their own bosses might be nice people

I think if someone knows how to navigate and react better to situations, he or she could work with a difficult boss. Some of them can even be changed over time when the employee proves undisturbed by their attitudes.
You think they change? Most of them are permanently endowed with the attitude that it leaves them for no minute
Yeah, it's a very rare case where they actually change or be less abusive though. But yeah, a lot are unchangeable. 😂
They don't and will never change except they are sick. You can't function well around them if your tolerance level is low.

Even when you have low tolerance, you still feel it and hope to get a better offer somewhere. The tolerance level would only make you stay till you have another job
I have a very close pal who works in an Archi firm with a though boss that was also verbally abusive. He tolerated him for sometimes but he eventually left after he didn't change. Verbal abusive+hostile boss and work environment is mentally bad for anyone

Extremely bad o seriously. It's a different thing if it's just one of those you mentioned but having everything as a boss makes employees have a bad time and experience working with you and affect their Productivity sef but these people do not bother to understand
So those who have mastered their emotions and reactions can work with difficult boss. Those who can not stop crying at every little insults, should find their ways to the good boss and manage what they are paid.
Yes o, because I've seen a guy who complains about how difficult his boss is but refuses to stop working for him, he seem to be coping just fine.
It's actually not easy giving up on a source of income when there is no other to fall on. Who haven't been there can't understand the choices that these people makes

Of course, but some are stronger than some. They'll remain until another comes and can cope with such boss again. Difficult bosses will still always have people working for them. 😅

Personally, I'll always choose to work with a good boos, someone who is kind but challenges me to grow and be better in what I do. I may not have much money but I'm not after big pays only.
Yeah I agree with you cos at the end of the day, the nervous you of expecting the unexpected, will gradually nurse a health challenge caused by anxiety

I'm giving my services, I shouldn't not be rewarded or tolerate someone who is hostile towards me even if the pay is much. Such boss will be using me like a slave and when I don't meet up with the demand set, I know what next

Not even all the money in the world could pay for my mental stability!
I was this close to a burnout or even depression last year because of being in a very bad environment and being afraid to lose my financial stability..I took my chance for the sake of my sanity and quit, and it was the best and scariest decision in the world! Luckly a month later I got a new job, not perfect but a better environment and it pays a little bit more so that's a bonus :)
IMAGINE.... It's always the best decision to just quit cos like you said, no amount of money is worth our mental stability. I once made that decision and even I'm yet to get a new job, I don't regret making that decision
Everything that you do to be or get better, even if it means leaving something or someone behind, is worth it, because you are worth fighting for and don't ever let anyone, not even yourself, doubt it :) things will get better ❤️
