Amen! But now let's see what the word vicar means..

Google spit this out:

A vicar (/ˈvɪkər/; Latin: vicarius) is a representative, deputy or substitute; anyone acting "in the person of" or agent for a superior.

I mean....You don't see that as an issue?

Sort:

Let me ask you this, do you honor your father and mother? Parents are also God's representatives on earth, have your heard of that too? I think it's even somewhere in the Bible.

Yeah but the Pope ain't my daddy lol

Well he's the spiritual daddy of Christians on earth, appointed by Jesus Himself. 😁

Chapter and verse please, let's see where it says that in the bible!

;)

It's been a while since we've had a good ol' fashioned debate. Nothing but love for ya' Artgirl.

Oh come on, you know Jesus gave him the keys to the Kingdom. 😆 People even think St. Peter will welcome them in Heaven once they die because of that verse. Or maybe you prefer the "upon this rock I will build my church" verse?

The one where Jesus called him Satan a few verses after? lol

Gotta give me more than that. ;)

What you don't accept those Bible verses as proof already? 😆 Then what else is there to say...

Work with me here...

Upon this Rock, I will build my church. Rock = Christ. Rock = God throughout the entire bible. Don't take my word for it, do a search for yourself.

You claim the rock (petros, small stone) is what Christ builds his church on, but then a few verses later, Christ tells Peter that Satan is in him and he needs to repent.

So which is it...Rock = Christ which the church is built on. Or fallen man?
