Just out of the clay oven... Freshly baked bibingka, topped with melted butter, and a sprinkle of sugar! Perfect snack to warm up a chilly day

Ooooh, fresh-off-the-banana-leaf bibingka That charred top is giving flavor. Save me a slice

Sure. That charred top tasted bitter. 😅

baka masyado nasunog yung nakikita ko pinapatong nila yung uling na may cover para di masunog

Ang cover kasi jan ni ma yung dahon lang ng saging, kaya pagnasunog ang nipis lang.

masarap din yan pag gumamit ng darak ng mais not sure if that is how you call it basta yung yellow powder na lasang mais po sarap

girl baka naman mexican style na yan

Ohh? Never tried that. Parang masarap nga. Ang naiimagine ko jan yung maja. 😅🤤

Looks good! For someone who doesnt know what its tastes like, is it similar to something I might know? (Lives in Europe if it helps 😅)

HAHA... Maybe I can compare it to a mochi. It's not that chewy coz it's like bread, but similar to it coz it's made of rice flour.

This looks delicious. Is it eaten this way or with sauce or veggies? Please what's the name of this food and what type of cuisine is it?

It's eaten that way. That is called a bibingka. It's a traditional Filipino cuisine that is served as a snack or dessert.

Oh, sorry. I was carried away with the picture of the food. I just noticed you included the name and cuisine in the caption. Thanks for sharing. Happy Monday.

Looks super!
Do you make them yourself or do you buy them;

Actually, my mom cooked it. 🤤

clay oven and melted butter? music to my ear

Melodious delight, I can say. 🤤🥰

no grated coconut on top?

Nope. Is it missing? 😅 Never tasted bibingka with grated coconut on top. Cheese maybe.

Eto kasi ibang flour ginamit.

Simple, but looking good.

Thanks for appreciating. 🥰

All good.
