Well I just finished another night delivering, and as I sit here at the table enjoying some well deserved ice cream. I finding myself feeling quite blessed. It was a good night.
Though I found myself thinking that my guardian angel has gotten some great training watching over me through out the years. I've delivered through countless snow storms, and blizzards. Not to mention all the other types of weather conditions including a few tropical storms.
This year alone has brought multiple moments where I said a prayer or two, and had to tap into my experience to navigate the weather.
I've even had a few days where I ended the night early, because I didn't feel the risk was worth the reward.
Though I consider to myself to have significant experience. My guardian angel likes to remind me that he's pretty bad ass himself. I've gone an entire night delivering in the storm without incident. Only to drive past a car stuck in the ditch, or a road closed due to an accident.
Those are the moments where I give thanks, and praise. I know I'm blessed, yet I can get wrapped up in the moment and forget. So whenever the reminder is given to me. I smile, and I give thanks. I'm blessed, and I appreciate the reminders. The small nudges that draw my attention back to the blessings in my life.
