📌 A Memorable Dinner in the Heart of Trang City 🫖🍻

Today, I want to share the story of a meaningful dinner we had after attending my mother-in-law's funeral. Before we all return to our lives on Koh Phangan, my family and I took the opportunity to experience the nighttime atmosphere of Trang city and enjoy a relaxing dinner together.
The Charm of Trang's Old Market
We headed to the old market area, a landmark for night owls and foodies. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the atmosphere was bustling with people. The dim lighting contrasted with the darkness of the night, creating a beautiful and simply romantic ambiance. We were very lucky to get a table by the roadside, which allowed us to closely observe the daily life of people passing by.
Enjoy a Diverse and Delicious Menu
The highlight of this meal was the large platter of dim sum, where you could pick and choose as much as you liked. There was a dazzling array of dim sum to choose from, including:
Pork/Shrimp Shumai: Steamed hot, with a firm and bouncy texture.
Hargow: Thin, translucent wrapper revealing the shrimp inside.
Various Steamed Buns: Soft, fluffy, and fragrant.
Fish Balls and Seaweed Rolls: Served with a delicious dipping sauce typical of Trang.
Besides dim sum, we also ordered other dishes to complete our meal, including hot noodles, flavorful soup, warm rice porridge, and crispy fried dough sticks with custard dip. The drinks were served quickly and efficiently by the staff, including refreshing Thai iced tea, lime tea, and rich hot chocolate.
A Moment of Happiness Along the Way
While waiting for our food, my husband and I took a walk through the nearby market. It felt like a step back in time. We passed convenience stores and various shops. Along the way, we found a stall selling grilled squid with an enticing aroma. We couldn't resist buying three for 100 baht to enjoy with the cold beer we had bought ourselves. The atmosphere was so amazing and perfect!
Watching the smiles of my children and family amidst the lively atmosphere of Trang city at night is a happiness that's hard to find. It's rare to get to experience life like this, and it really revitalizes my heart.

Even though it was only a short time, the image of the night lights, the sound of family conversations and laughter, and the taste of Trang cuisine will be cherished memories for me for a long time.
