Hello, Hive Friends! 💕 I’m writing this blog on the spot before I go to bed tonight (but actually it's already morning here in PH, almost 4AM). Sometimes, the quiet of the evening inspires me to share little pieces of my day and the thoughts that come with them.
Yesterday, I cooked Ginataang Winged Beans (Winged Beans in Coconut Milk) for both lunch and dinner. This dish is close to my heart because it reminds me of my Mama’s specialty. She’s such a wonderful cook, and her version of this dish always tastes like home.

I miss her dearly. She’s in Pangasinan with my siblings, in-laws, nephews, and nieces, while I’m here in Bulacan. I was able to get a house and lot through Pag-ibig Financing, so this is where I’ve built my everyday life.

Here, I spend my days with my fur baby, a Chow Chow named Cardo, who never fails to keep me company. On weekends, my boyfriend comes home. He works in Manila during weekdays and stays with his siblings’ family there, but our weekends together are something I always look forward to.

Cooking ginataang winged beans yesterday wasn’t just about preparing food. It was about reconnecting with Mama’s love and care, even from afar. Food has that magical way of bridging distance and bringing back memories
