RE: Introvert Talks - Chinese New Year and Cryptos

in Reflections24 days ago

Hehe I used to receive more red packets when I was a kid. These days, most relatives have stopped giving me because I am already a working adult (even though I am still single and hence eligible for red packets), but that's okay. :)

Interesting weather you have over there.. I think it rarely rains during CNY over here though. Which is a good thing because we have to travel from place to place for visiting and stuff.

Hmm over in SG, we have 2 days of holidays (29th and 30th) so we will be back at work on 31st (sadly). Hehe!

Thanks for the festive wishes and happy holidays to you too!

P.S. Here a little token for you too! :P

Thank you for the hongbao 😄 much appreciated!

is there a myth based on CNY? I guess I grew up with that beliefs that not raining during CNY is just a bad year haha.

You are welcome!

Hmmm not that I know of though.. Although in Chinese culture, they like to associate water with wealth, so if it rains, they might see it as the gods in the sky giving wealth to the people.. I suspect it could also be because most people were farmers back then and rain was very important for the growing of crops. But I am not sure how many people has this belief in this era.
