As some of you may now, I've been trying to cut down some of my 2nd layer token exposure on Hive Engine. Simplicity is ultimately better for my mental well-being. That said, some tokens are definitely worth obtaining, provided you have the resources available.

One of those tokens is LGN (Legion), under the umbrella of the BRO community.

I'll keep this short and simple because I know we're in this for the financial benefits.

Obtaining 2000 LGN gives you the status of...

LEGIONNAIRE

With this status comes the benefit of a 70% vote from @legionsupport, which at this time is worth roughly in the range of $0.40 - $0.50. The vote is given approximately once every 24 hours; sometimes the vote skips randomly.

Additionally, holding 2000 LGN staked gives a daily return of just over 0.2 HIVE (about 73 HIVE per year).

How much does it cost to obtain 2000 LGN? The current price is actually quite a great discount: just over 0.4 HIVE per token. If you're willing to pay just over 800 HIVE, you can get 2000 LGN.

So what's the return? The 73 HIVE you earn simply from staking comes out to an APR of roughly 9%.

However, when you add the vote you receive from @legionsupport, this becomes far more substantial! We're keeping about half of the rewards, thus we're earning a minimum of $0.2 per post. Let's say we earn the vote 180 times per year (accounting for skipped votes, skipped posting days, etc.). That's an additional $36 per year. At current $HIVE prices, that's about 100-120 HIVE per year. If you post virtually every day, it'll probably be even a little bit higher.

So now we're up to a total of 173 - 193 HIVE per year for a cost of 800 HIVE. What's the APR on that? 21.6% - 24.1%. In my book, that's a great win.

Not to mention... since LGN prices are quite low at this moment, their value is likely going to go up. I'd recommend snatching it up right now. Or, even better, delegate some HP to @legionsupport, which gives you LGN as a reward, and also increases the total vote value for everyone!

As a reference, for a delegation of nearly 22k, I earn about 16-20 LGN per day, depending on its spot price. That means it takes me about 4-5 months to earn 2000 LGN.

Indeed, I myself have 2000 LGN staked, and now the FreeCompliments Community account (@hive-140084) also has 2000 LGN staked. I'm continuing to earn LGN to stake to other community accounts, namely @fc-rewards and @fc-curation. I do intend to have them both hit the 2000 LGN mark, hopefully by the end of 2025.
