It’s already the end of July, and we’re deep into summertime (at least in the continental US). With 5 months left to go, let’s make the rest of this year amazing!
So, this is once again a simple reminder about a couple of things so that we can properly account for your upcoming rewards which will be coming around over the next few days.
Please Let Me Know How Many Members You’ve Referred!
One of our contests is the Monthly Promotion Contest. We’re looking for our members to refer others to this community. We regularly reward 2 HSBI per member who is referred and joins the community, but the one who makes the most referrals wins 5 HSBI, 1000 Ecency points, 10 LEO, and 500 NEOXAG! Remember that we’re counting referrals only for the past month (i.e. May), rather than lifetime referrals.
While we continue to have clear winners, I’m 100% confident that more people were referred than were accounted for. So, please let us know whom you know that you’ve referred; and, if someone referred you here, please let us know so they can get credit!
A Brief Preview of Upcoming Developments
Our distribution of rewards for Post of the Month, Compliment of the Month, and Non-Compliment Comment of the Month were somewhat delayed because we initially didn’t have enough votes, so the contest was repeated. Now, however, we do have enough votes! I’ve already tallied up our votes and determined the winners, and will be sending out the official announcement and prizes tomorrow!
Furthermore, this month, we’ve continued winning InLeo Community Battles through incredible engagement both on Threads and within Posts made within the community, although I’d love to see even more engagement! I am brainstorming ways to encourage more engagement, including hiring a new comment curator, which I expect will happen within 1-2 weeks’ time.
My collaboration with other projects and their respective tokens will continue. We’re slowly building our reserves of $LGN, $CCD, $LEO, $NEOXAG, among multiple others. We’re also distributing more of them as rewards! At any rate, all of these are all stable tokens with longevity and strong projects behind them, so I’m confident in the choices. It’s going to be a very unique system, where you’ll be able to delegate to our community curation account and get rewarded for doing so! If we get enough delegations, we’ll have the opportunity to become a major player in the Hive curation ecosystem. It’s not yet time for delegation, but we’re certainly getting closer!
In other financial matters, our trading account was funded with 2000 of my own HIVE, and we had some wild swings this month: first a big win, followed by a bigger loss, then numerous smaller wins leading to a decent net profit which is funding a bunch of our HSBI. It’s still tricky to keep up, but I think we’ll manage better than we did before. I will continue to fund our community accounts as long as needed, but I expect it will remain this way for at least a couple of years.
We continue working on our mental health initiative, and are becoming more organized! Our monthly HBD payments have begun, with the next payment coming out this coming week. These payments are in proportion to their contribution to the initiative. The system is designed to increase in value over time, so our MHAs are going to receive increasing pay over time.
This month, I foresee having 2 winners for the Threads Engagement Contest! We;ve been in the Top 2 the entire month – and in fact, mostly #1. Next month, let’s keep the #freecompliments tag at #1 in Threads throughout all of August so that we can have 3 winners!
Additionally, more job positions will be opened up over time. I keep creating new jobs, and more of them will be deployed as we move along. We are, indeed, slowly transforming the FreeCompliments Community into a business!
