๐ CENTRAL TRUTH:
In God's training school, you are assessed by your reactions.
๐ BIBLE TEXT:

๐ KEY VERSE:
"In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly" (Job 1:22).
๐๏ธ COMMENTARY
Exodus 33:1-35:29
In the school of adversity (God's training school), you are assessed by your reaction to what you are going through. What you say or do at such a time determines your success or failure. The bone of contention between Satan and God in Job's case is whether Job' integrity is because of divine blessings God surrounded him with so that if they are removed from job, he will curse God (Job 1:8-11).
You may not choose what to go through in your test of faith but you can choose how to react when you are going through the test.
In time of adversity, some believers result to backsliding; they stop attending Church services. Some even throw away their Bibles.
Some let their handicap get into their spirit. Consequently, they become bitter and antagonistic. They become hostile to their neighbours, spouse, Children and even God Himself. Others go murmuring, blasphemy and negative confession. God asked Jonah whether he has right to be angry. Jonah's reply was that he has right to be angry - even angry enough to die (Jonah 4:9) In the same vein, Saint Theresa of Arvilla lamented, Lord if this is the way you treat your friends, it is no wonder that you don't have many" (bibletolife.com)
Unfortunately, these negative reactions don't solve the problem but worsen it. For Myles Munroe, the only thing you can get from anxiety and desperation is "increased blood pressure". Job in his case chose to react differently. He maintained his integrity and refused to curse God or charge him with evil. No matter what
happens remain steadfast. It is better to die without cursing God than to curse God and still die.
