L’Ombre passa des mois à interroger clandestinement d’anciens contractants de sécurité, de petits techniciens et même des proches de gardiens disparus mystérieusement après leur affectation. Chaque fragment d’information récolté contribuait à reconstruire une partie du puzzle.
Voici ce qu’il apprit :
Recrutement anonyme : Les employés de la prison étaient recrutés par des organisations écrans, sans jamais connaître la véritable nature de leur travail.
Transport contrôlé : Chaque garde était conduit à la prison les yeux bandés, et leurs horaires étaient irréguliers pour brouiller les pistes.
Uniformes stricts et protocoles rigides : Une fois dans la prison, tous les gardiens suivaient des routines parfaitement calculées, sous une surveillance constante.
L’Ombre comprit que son seul moyen d’entrer était de se faire recruter comme garde, mais cela exigeait de se glisser dans le système sans éveiller le moindre soupçon.
Étape 2 : Usurpation d’identité
L’Ombre identifia un garde récemment recruté, un homme nommé Victor Henslow, dont le dossier de candidature venait d’être accepté. Grâce à ses talents d’imitation et d’espionnage, L’Ombre intercepta Victor avant qu’il ne commence son premier jour.
Après un court échange, Victor fut neutralisé, et L’Ombre prit sa place. Utilisant des documents falsifiés, il se présenta au point de rendez-vous désigné. Pour éviter toute détection, il avait reproduit à l’identique l’apparence, la voix, et même les tics comportementaux de Victor.
Étape 3 : Le transport vers l’inconnu
Le jour de sa "reprise de poste", L’Ombre monta à bord d’un véhicule blindé, où son visage fut immédiatement couvert par un masque opaque, le privant de toute vision. Le voyage dura plusieurs heures. Tout au long du trajet, il analysa chaque détail possible :

The Shadow identified a newly recruited guard, a man named Victor Henslow, whose application had just been approved. Using his skills in imitation and espionage, the Shadow intercepted Victor before his first day on the job.
After a brief confrontation, Victor was neutralized, and the Shadow assumed his identity. Armed with forged documents, he reported to the designated rendezvous point. To avoid detection, he perfectly replicated Victor’s appearance, voice, and even his behavioral quirks.
Step 3:
The Transport to the Unknown
On his “first day,” the Shadow boarded an armored vehicle, where his face was immediately covered by an opaque mask, depriving him of any vision. The journey lasted several hours. During the trip, he analyzed every detail he could:
Sounds: A strange whistling noise, possibly caused by a magnetic field or high altitude.
Vibrations: At one point, the vehicle seemed to float or glide, hinting at the use of advanced technology.
Atmospheric Pressure Changes: Suggesting the prison might be either underwater or in a high-altitude zone.
Upon arrival, he felt a sudden drop in temperature before being led into a vast reception hall.
