Hello, Hive friends! It's Abby here, welcome to my sphere. It's been a while, hasn't it? I don't know actually, I kinda lost track of time. The week's been crazy and when I say it's crazy, it really has been. Imagine having lunch every single day with crazy thoughts in mind, it's excruciating.
You might be wondering for what reason am I ranting right now? Well, it's because of our off-campus observation. Last Wednesday, the King and Queens from the university arrived at our school for the observation. And guess what happened, we survived! Yey! I barely did hahaha.
To celebrate our little success, the gang and I decided to eat out. We headed to Aki Mart!
As an avid admirer of the Korean culture I've been wanting to go there for the longest time and for many times my friends and I planned to go there, but we always failed to do so due to our busy schedules.
And after weeks or maybe months of waiting, we finally found time to make our plan possible. It's Thursday and right after class, instead of heading straight home we took a detour to the city.
The moment we entered the mart I was welcomed with the dainty and beautiful interior of the place. Another thing I was so happy about the moment we arrived was that we were the first customers at that moment. The place was all ours for some time hahahaha.
After picking our spot inside the mart, we got our utensils and chose our noodles. Since I have quite a cough, I went with the non-spicy one - Nongshim's Bulgogi Fried Noodle (불고기 뽁음누들).
I don't wanna bomb the place with the sound of my cough, that would be embarrassing. Next, I grabbed one boiled egg, seaweed wrap, and a small tab of kimchi.
AND I WILL TELL YOU ALL!
That combo I had was FIRE!!!! It was soooo good I regretted none of it. Every single bite I had was worth the price. For my drink, I chose my favorite strawberry-flavored Milkis. I had two of those haha that is how much I loveeee it.
After deciding with our food, we paid for it first at the counter and moved next to the cooking station. After a while, we gathered all around the table and started shoving foods into our mouth.
Sir A, our previous SSG adviser who is also now Deb's mentor, arrived to join us. He treated us with two boxes of pizza which were also good. The crust was thick but crunchy and that's how I like my pizza.
The table was filled with laughter as we devoured everything while reminiscing wonderful memories we had together way back when we were still in high school. It felt so nice to reunite with our high school teachers in our Alma Mater, but this time not as students but as pre-service teachers.
Before leaving the place, we made sure to leave some imprints by writing on the sticky notes provided by the store and pasted it on the wall. I wrote, "we were here" in Korean.
The night was beautiful, I had good foods with the wonderful people in my life while sharing fun and heartwarming conversations with them.
Wait up! That is not the end of my Aki Mart food trip because the next day we, Cath, Jo, Atet and I all went back there with our Madi - Jera.
I got the same thing I had last time since I just wanna play safe and make sure that I'll enjoy my meal. We talked and updated one another since we only get to see each other at least once a week.
After eating, we took a bit of a stroll together, went to a nearby mall, and scanned the toy section.
It felt so nostalgic to see the toys we had or wanted to have as kids. There was this very adorable panda too. Looking at all of these just made me think how much time had passed and how much we've grown up. Nevertheless, despite growing up, the child in us remains. I can attest to it since we were so happy looking at the toys haha.
It has been a well spent days. A great way of ending such long sleepless days before heading to our most awaited days of the week - Saturday and Sunday. I cannot wait to catch up with my pending films to watch. Hahaha yes, I am talking about my pending dramas and anime, not about the school related works I need to do nah uh, I value my rest day a lot to sacrifice even little bits of it hihi.
