I'm picking up this topic for a reason, which is to match with the latest January challenge with the eating out community. First and foremost, i would like to reiterate i am NOT the kind of eating special menu can bring me any new found joy person. I can stick to 1 type of same diet for months and will still be OK with it. Having something special, to me is just another meal. I have my own set of favourite dish i can always go back repeat the order. The list is adding on though, today's menu is one of those, and i am going to tell you why.
Lose weight is a goal that i can never acheive, at least since the past 5 years. I blame it on my itchy mouth, after i have stopped smoking, i tend to eat a lot more than i should. Since i can't stop eating and i change my goal to make every splurge meal by targetting business opportunity. Bringing potential client for expensive meal and targeting their business.
This one, even better. The client was the one who requested it, saying Siong Tong Gai seafood restaurant is having a promotion. A bowl of fish with giant prawn, sweet & sour pork, fried vege and a plate of buttermilk fried chicken, all for 194 yo. That's like less than $50, supposed to fed 3 - 5 person depending on the individual size.
I got lucky, as I'm the only male. Despite being a middle aged man myself, I'm still the youngest amongst other 3 ladies. The girls allowed me to eat a lot more. 194 is a promotion price, if its normal retail, i think the seafood pot would have cost more than 200 already.
The sweet and sour pork was quite crunchy. Its a savory dish. We call it sweet and sour because of the tomato sauce accompanied it. The buttermilk chicken is very crunchy on the outside, and super tender on the inside. I wish that plate of vege a little nearer to me, or i could have help to finish the mushrooms.
Overall, i give thie 8 out of 10. 1 point being their seating areangement are horrible. Despite the time we arrived was like 15 minutes from their business hour, they made us write name and still need to take turn going in.
