RE: June 2025 annual garden update

Wow! Everyone in the garden is doing great, especially those buttercrunch lettuces! Their leaves look crunchy and inviting, I want to have a bite, lol πŸ˜„ I pity the Brussel sprouts, though. I hope they still recover.

It sounds like you need a huge preparation for the imminent drought - a good water system to supply enough water for these veggies.

Weeds are invasive; they grow and thrive faster than our blinks, lol πŸ˜‚ Kidding aside, they are actually one of the most tiring uninvited visitors to deal with in the garden. But, pulling them regularly will spare you from a day of intense battle, weeding. Sometimes we really can't do it regularly, especially since it's not just the weeds that we are dealing with in the garden; there are a lot more tasks to do.

It was a nice stop for me in your garden, till next time as I do my garden hopping in this beautiful community. 😊 πŸ’š

Luckily we have a good watering system, a transfer pump, car battery and a 300 gallon water tank. Just have to drag the hose around. If I need to be more mobile I can set up a 55 gallon water tank to my UTV to water everything.

Indeed pulling those weeds up consistently is key, otherwise they overgrow. Where I live the winters kill them all, so its just a battle during the growing season.

Best of luck with your garden too.

wow! you're completely prepared for the hot season! And oh, I realized that somehow winter helps the garden soil by killing the weeds, but I hope it won't kill the important plants. πŸ˜… If it does, I hope the important plants wake up faster than the weeds in Spring haha πŸ˜
