Hi, I am Arveno from Surabaya city. in this content i want to share my experience about comparing the last ramen with the usual Udon that we eat called Marugame Udon. We already testing more than 7 six place on Surabaya and Malang city this franchise restaurant. And yeah turns out that it really depends on the chef. Different place will taste different. Especially for the udon itself and the side dish. What we are taste almost similar and mostly same is the broth taste. The oily broth is make this dish having its own signature. Maybe we can eat this udon for last 10-15 years, after that we are forbid ourself to eat this kind of food since we are almost 50 and yeah in big city we are almost having sedentary life. Thats why time to dig in as much as possible right?
My wife usually order the spicy ones, she said the spicy is really fit with her tongue taste meanwhile i am not kinda like the spicy. My tongue is kinda sensitive with spicy. And i cannot holding spice taste. And thats why i ordered the miyo soup udon. The taste is kinda salt and sour. Thats really fit to my tongue taste. What i dissapointed about all of this franchise is the price is too expensive for a bowl of Udon since the filler like beef and other condiment is so little. If only they give more beef slice it would be super nice and really fit with the price. But this time my wife ordered the salty and and meanwhile me forced to ordered Curry one. Yeah i think most man will understand what i fell right when ordering food. LOL.
So be it all good with me if my wife wants different taste for today.
Okay for the curry one, the condiment is udon of course, then curry sauce, and then Chicken Katsu. The chicken katsu is kinda delicious but like i said, it is just 1 slice, that is need more i think. And also there is no other condiment for curry udon. But, the taste is kinda good for me. So i am not complaint to my wife after she picked it for me.
For mayo one, this time there is no other condiment in it. And guess what this bowl of udon cost more than 4$. Thats really expensive. But, the broth taste is really delicious, really, the saltiness, the sour, the umami, combined to be one. I almost forgot how the taste of the udon. And when its combined with the side dish like other fried food, in this case my wife picking tempura and grilled shrimp also and for desserts is sweet potato balls.
And for my son he got rice since we will share the udon with my son. And he got fried food also. I know that this food is not healthy at all. But once a while i think it is still okay. We are not like everyday buying on this franchise restaurant. The first reason of course this dish is not healthy and the second is the price is overpriced too. If just once a month i think it still tolerate. But, yeah the taste is really good. We can enjoying it. And when combined with half boiled egg, it would be super great too. it will make our stomach full too. Mostly the fried food here is using the real beef but the bad part is using too much oil and deep fried it and combined with flour that makes this dish are not healthy, But overall i think it still edible and not make bad to our body with just once eat.
