Living here in the province always reminds me how beautiful a simple life can be. Life on the farm may not be the same with city life, but it is filled with peace, happiness, and the kind of blessings that money cannot buy. Surrounded by nature, fresh air, and generous family, I feel truly thankful for this kind of life.

One of the things I love most about living in the province is the abundance of fruits and vegetables around us. We have marang, bananas, passion fruit, durian, edible fern, and many other fresh vegetables that grow nearby. It feels so good knowing that whenever I want something fresh to cook or eat, I can simply go outside and harvest it.

Early that day, I went out to gather edible fern while the morning was still calm and fresh. The cool air and quiet surroundings made the moment even more relaxing. My siblings also helped me, which made the task lighter and more enjoyable. Aside from gathering edible fern, they also picked some durian for me to bring home. I felt so happy and grateful because my siblings are truly generous. In return, I also love sharing with them whenever I can. Whenever I visit them, I always make sure to bring something, and when it is time for me to go home, they also send me back with fruits or anything they have harvested. It has become a simple but meaningful way of showing love and care for one another.

My daughter was especially excited when she saw the marang and durian. We decided to open the marang first because it was easier for her to eat and enjoy. Seeing her excitement made me smile because children really find joy in the simplest things. My niece was also happy, and it made the whole moment even more heartwarming.

Moments like this make me appreciate life in the province even more. Harvesting fruits straight from the farm, sharing food with family, and enjoying nature’s free blessings bring a kind of happiness that is hard to explain. Life on the farm is simple, but it is full of love, gratitude, and beautiful memories.

The fruits of this beautiful plant with its natural surroundings, along with the great involvement with children really allow to enjoy eating seasonal fruit. The enthusiasm and interest of the children is special part of enjoying this vegetable. Thank you for presenting interesting dishes with special this natural environment to all of us.

Living in the province is so beautiful with many choices of fruits and vegetables. The fresh life and the fact that fruits and vegetables are fresh from picking ,you could enjoy the fresh air. Not like here in the city, so polluted and noisy. Unlike in the province very quite and peaceful.

True sis, life here is simple but abundant in fresh fruits, vegetables and peaceful surroundings. Has its different kind of beauty that the city can’t give sis. But sometimes living in the city gives more opportunity than here in the farm.

That’s a beautiful image of provincial life! Wow! You’re highlighting how abundance doesn’t always come from wealth, but from nature’s generosity. Harvesting fruits and enjoying free gifts from the land is a reminder of how blessed life can feel when it’s tied to simplicity, community, and gratitude.

Thank you! Life in the province teaches us to appreciate simple things, it’s a blessing to live close to the land and share these moments with our family.

I actually love your curiosity! Yes, edible fern is common here in our place, I will make a post abut it soon. We usually call it “pako”and it grows in damp, shared areas like near river or canal. I will share more details and photos in my next post so you can see it better.

yehey!! Thanks in advance. I was curious coz who knows, we might have that here, but we aren't aware they are edible 😁

In the province, there’s no need to buy vegetables anymore. If you are diligent in planting, you can simply harvest from your own garden, so you don’t need to spend money on them.

Yes, we can harvest fresh vegetables anytime without spending much. 😍
