Not the same road, but the same why.

This is my reason. This is my choice. This is my story. I’m living my life the best way I know how. So please, you don’t get to speak for me, decide for me, or create stories about me. That’s not your chapter to write. At the end of the day, it’s my life — and I’m the only one who gets to live it.
I’ve only ever shared my plans with my parents and my closest friends. That’s it. I’m not the type to announce my goals to everyone. I don’t want the unsolicited encouragement, and I definitely don’t want the negative comments either — both of them just make me uncomfortable. For me, I’d rather keep quiet until something is sure. Until it’s firm, successful, and already done. Because I know how it feels — the moment you stumble, the same people who were watching will have a lot to say. That judgmental, villain-like energy? I don’t want any part of it. So I’ll work in silence, and let the results do the talking when the time is right.
Yay! Another successful day. Just sharing a glimpse of the life of a normal person living in accommodation — the small wins, the quiet routines, and the little moments that make it feel like home.

We decided to grab breakfast outside today — Chicken Pastil with Egg. The moment I took a bite, it instantly reminded me of home. The taste brought back memories of my family and suddenly I felt at ease. It was simple, but it filled me up in more ways than one — satisfied, full, and a little bit homesick in the best way. To complete our little breakfast combo, we ordered coffee. And just to make it extra fun, my roommate came back with bubbles. Lol. Just a normal morning, but little things like this make living in accommodation feel a bit more like home.
In the afternoon, one of our roommates finally had her scheduled flight. It was bittersweet — happy for her, but the room will feel a little emptier after. A sweet tradition here is whenever someone is about to leave, they prepare snacks for everyone. It’s not required or anything. Just a little gesture from those who have the budget and the heart to share one last time.

She was pleading with us to help her go to the store to buy softdrinks and bread. It was just too much for her to carry alone. Of course we couldn’t say no. It was her last day with us, and helping her pack and shop felt like our final bonding moment. So we all went together — laughing, carrying bags, picking out snacks. It was tiring, but in a good way. A little send-off errand before she flies off to start her new chapter.
My kind of dessert.

After all the chaos and the messy happenings today, I finally got my reward — my favorite snacks. I grabbed Pandan and Chocolate Fudgee Bars from the nearest store. It was such a small thing, but it made the whole day feel better. Sweet, familiar, and exactly what I needed after running around and helping a roommate. Sometimes, comfort really does come in a small plastic wrapper.
This is finally our last bonding with Ate N — the noisiest and naughtiest roommate we had.

I prayed for Ate N today. I hope she finds a better life in her new destination. Wherever she is, I hope she never gives up. I hope she holds on tight to that belief — that she’s getting closer to her dreams with every step she takes. Because that dream? It’s the same reason why all of us are here. We’re all struggling, yes. But we’re also fighting every single day. We’ll face difficulties and different problems along the way. That’s reality. But it’s also what keeps us going — that one promise for our family, and for the future we’re trying to build. Huhu. It's making me cry.
This ends my blog. Thank you for reading and stopping by. Lovelots😘
