The Biggest Squid I have Ever Bought, Cooked and Tasted

Hello hivers, how was your day? I've been struggling to log in that's why I can't engage so much or post. I think it needs timing for the site but anyways I'm here again sharing you this another incredible food! It was Sunday evening when my husband ask what will be our viand for dinner and I don't know that's why we went to the nearby fisherman's store and look for fish. When we arrived there, there are only two options, the fish they called "gunting-gunting" and a very big squid. I didn't bring my phone there because I let my daughter borrowed it so they will stay at their room together with his little brother. It was so very big and according to the seller it weighs 25 kilos in total. It costs 280 pesos per kilo so we bought half kilo and this is how half a kilo looks like.

It was so big that we can enter our 4 hands in the hole. It has little meat inside too. I don't know how it calls but it was look like intestines. And the plastic look like inside this squid's day was so big.

It was a little bit hungry and we think of the best recipe for this but my husband said we are going to make adobo out from it so our kids can eat well. This requires more streaming process because it's bigger and in order for the kids to eat it needs to be softer and tender.

Then my husband was making it. Slicing onion and garlic. Then he do the cooking. He is very good at cooking. I like how he managed to balance the taste of a recipe. He cooks a lot at home only if he is available. Sometimes he can go home after duty hours, sometimes if there are operations he can't go home and he slet on the beaches or on the places where they conducted search and rescue operation.

Now let's go back to the recipe! After 5 minutes it was ready to eat to an adult like us but it needs more tender for kids so I add 10 minutes more and after that it was perfectly tender.

Then we ate together and while we are eating, we keep on talking about how amazing seafoods are in this area. We haven't tried this one for a long time living in the farm and just because his job was here we finally come here. We gladly talk about the different sea food we have tried that before we only saw it on social media platforms.

It's bell pepper. I don't like it but my husband like it very much.

Oh i see. I thought they wer red chili. Lol

after we separate little for the kids, we added chili garlic for our taste. it is so spicy
