Hello Everyone!
Last week, I traveled to Manila to attend a logistics event at the World Trade Center. After the event, I decided to make the most out of my trip by heading to the Mall of Asia, not only to go sightseeing but also to enjoy a little food trip.
As I walked around, one food stall immediately caught my attention, Gindaco, a famous Japanese chain known for its takoyaki. The bright red signage stood out, and the long queue of customers made me even more curious. I thought to myself, “If people are willing to wait this long, then it must be worth it.” So, I joined the line.
From where I stood, I could watch the staff skillfully prepare each batch of takoyaki. It was amazing to see how fast and precise they were, flipping each ball of batter with such expertise. The sizzling sound, the aroma, and the sight of golden-brown takoyaki made the wait even more exciting.
Since the queue was long and I was already tired from the day’s event, I decided to order it for takeout. Back at the hotel, I finally opened my box of freshly cooked takoyaki. The sight was mouthwatering, perfectly round balls drizzled with creamy mayonnaise, savory sauce, and sprinkled with green onions and seasoning.
Taking the first bite was an experience in itself. The outside was crispy, while the inside was soft, gooey, and filled with tender octopus. The flavors blended so well, rich, savory, and comforting. It was definitely worth the wait in line.
If you’re ever at the Mall of Asia and see the Gindaco stall, don’t hesitate to line up. It may take a while, but trust me, every bite is worth it.
