Hello, how are you? Lately, my family has been craving Pancit, and we usually only eat it on occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. But this time, even though the food we usually eat on occasions is now being eaten casually, I was like, why not, right? If you can afford to buy the ingredients, go for it, and you never know what will happen to you, and maybe it is your last time eating it.
Since my cousin decided to return home and just work here, we've been eating good food, and I think I gained more weight, and it is concerning LOL, but yeah, food is life, so I guess that’s the point of it hahaha. And I love it too, cause I can experience cooking food that is not familiar to me.
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- Cooking Oil
- Squid Balls
- Kikiam
- 2 Carrots
- Cabbage
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1 Stalk Celery
- 1 Bulb Garlic
- 3 Red Onion
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1/2 tsp Ground Pepper
- tsp. All-in-one seasoning
- 1.7L hot water
- 1 chicken broth cube
- 227g Bihon Noodles
- 200g Pancit Canton Noodles
- 2 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a hot pan, I added about half a cup of cooking oil.
Then I added the squid ball in and cooked it until its color changed to light brown.
This is what the color should look like.
Then I added the Kikiam, and I did the same thing as the squid balls.
You know when it's cooked when it's inflated.
In the same pan, I reduce the oil in it, and then I cook the carrots for about a minute.
Next is the cabbage, still fry it for a minute too.
And then the bell pepper.
And then I added the aromatics like garlic, onion, and celery. Celery is really good with pancit.
Then I added 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and mixed them until well combined.
And then I added a tablespoon of sesame oil really good with pancit too.
And then a half teaspoon of ground pepper.
For the seasoning, I added about a teaspoon of all-in-one seasoning. Mix them until well combined and then set them aside for later.
In the same pan, I added 1.7 litres of hot water.
And then I added 1 chicken broth cube.
Then, to add color to the water, I added about a tablespoon of soy sauce.
When the water started boiling, I added the Bihon and Pancit Canton. Cook it until almost all the water is absorbed.
Then I added the veggies I stir-fried earlier.
Then the squid balls and kikiam, and mixed.
To finish it up, I added 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce.
Now serve it hot!
Serve with calamansi to balance the flavor.
Happy Eating!
