Hello, how are you? My cousin asks me to cook Pork Giniling, one of his comfort food whenever he gets home for vacation, when he is still working far away, but now that he is working here again, he can request any food he crave for, which is so much pressure and challenging at the same time.

So yeah, this is my version of Ginisang Pork Giniling. I love to add lots of potatoes, which is such a big filler for the food, and makes the food taste delicious at the same time when you fry it.

Ingredients I Used:

0.JPG

  • 1/2 Kilo Ground Pork
  • half cup Cooking Oil
  • 4 Potatoes
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Bell Pepper
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 can Liver Spread
  • 3 cups of Water
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 155g Green Peas

Let's Cook!

In a hot pan, I added about a half cup of cooking oil.

When the pan is hot enough, I add the potatoes and fried it until their texture is crispy. Set it aside for later.

Next are the carrots, just like I did to the potatoes, I fried them until browning started appearing. Then set it aside, too.

Then, after that, I reduced the oil, leaving about a tablespoon of it, and then I added the pork. I forgot to defrost is so it took me a while to separate the meat separated but it's fine, I cook it until the color of the meat turns light brown.

Then I am going to add the aromatics like garlic and red onion, and just cook it until the aroma is out.

Then I like to add the red bell pepper because it gives this unique flavor to the food.

Then I added 1 tablespoon of soy sauce for a little bit of color and flavor, too.

To make the sauce thick, I use the whole can of liver spread. This makes the taste unique. You can use liver part too, but we don't have one, so this one is good.

Then I added 3 cups of water.

Then I added 1/4 tsp of ground pepper. Let it cook for about 7 minutes at medium heat or until the water thickens enough.

And then I added the potatoes and carrots I fried earlier.

And for the final, I added green peas, then cooked them for about 3 minutes.
