$1

Hello, how are you? It has been a while since I posted a cooking blog, and I kind of miss making a blog about it. So the first food I am going to make is one of my favorites vegetables food is, the Pinakbet Ilocano, with its veggies cooked in Boneless Bagoong, which is the famous condiment we always use in cooking, which is similar to fish sauce, but this one is a paste version.

Ingredients I Used:

  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • Half Cup Meat
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • Red Onion
  • Ginger
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Bagoong (Fish Sauce)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 chicken broth cube
  • 1/4 kilo of eggplant
  • 1/4 kilo Okra
  • half cup Patani(Lama Beans)
  • half cup Kadyos (Pigeons Pea)
  • half cup Bataw (Hyacinth Beans)

In a hot pan, I pour in about 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.

After that, I am going to add the meat just to add flavor to the dish. Any meat of your choice is okay. Let that cook until browning starts appearing.

After I cook, I am going to add the aromatics, which are garlic, red onion, and ginger. Let them cook until the fragrance of the aromatics comes out.

Next, I added the tomatoes in and cook it until the texture of it turn in a mushy.

After that, I am going to add 2 tablespoons of Bagoong. If you don't have Bagoong, you can use fish sauce as a substitute. Let that seep into the tomatoes for about 10 seconds.

Then I am going to add about 2 cups of water and mix until well combined

After that, I am going to add one chicken broth cube and mix until the cube dissolves. And then let the water boil.
