RE: Chemical free vegetables in the home garden and food from these vegetables that my wife cooked : Stir-fried curried with preserved bamboo shoot and chicken.

The preserved/ pickled bamboo shoots and the banana leaf cover are new to me. I guess the banana leaf adds aroma and flavor to the dish, if I am not mistaken. We actually use banana leaves when packing our food when we go on an outing or trekking - they give a different aroma and flavor to rice. Also, we use it in communal dining, we call it 'boodle fight'.

This is my first time to see pickled bamboo shoots and I want to try it at home. We often cook bamboo shoots in coconut milk, added with chili.

Thanks for another dish idea! 💚
