The days have been hotter recently because it is already summer, and it is great to have something refreshing. One of the most popular desserts here in the Philippines is our "halo-halo". And since we were craving for something cold and refreshing, we went outside and looked for where we should buy, until we found the Irene's Halo-Halo.
We went on a quick ride and the weather was really good. It was hot, but at the same time, the blue sky showed a some clouds and we took pictures of the moment. We were in front of the store when we captured these photos. It was a nice view of rice field.
There are a lot of choices on their menu and we chose the Overload. It has a lot of ingredients. We ordered two cups of this halo-halo and waited for the vendors to prepare them. As usual, we just watched them prepare and it was so satisfying especially when they were putting the ingredients and milk.
After waiting for a few minutes, the vendor told us that our orders were ready. They handed over the two cups of halo-halo to us. We then mixed them, and even requested for an additional milk to make it tastier. Here's how it looked like:
Overall, we can say that this is the best dessert during the warm season. You can look for this kind of food in your neighbourhood as well, and surely you will see one. It was indeed refreshing and reallyt satisfied our craving.
