The Thai Chicken Basil by Nasi Kokoh BlokM

Hello everyone..

I haven't been to Blok M in a long time. The main reason is because it's so crowded. But if we have an appointment with friends, we usually prefer to go to Blok M because there are many things we can find there, including culinary delights. That's what happened a few days ago after Eid. My friend and I wanted to try a menu that was only available at the Blok M restaurant, so we had no choice but to go there. But unfortunately, the place still had a long queue so we had to turn back. We don't like waiting in line for too long.

Not wanting to wait in line, my friend and I decided to find another restaurant that was quiet. We thought that since it was Eid al-Fitr, Jakarta would be quiet. In fact, the Blok M area of Jakarta was incredibly crowded. It sapped my energy immediately. But since we were already there, we had no choice but to finish what we wanted: lunch.

After a long search, we finally found a restaurant whose menu caught our eye. I like dishes with vegetables, so we stopped at a restaurant called Nasi Kokoh.

The Thai Chicken Basil

There were so many menus displayed, I was interested in the Thai Basil Chicken Rice. The photo shown is very appetizing with sunny side up eggs, basil and ground chicken. That would make it easier for me to chew. As soon as it arrived, ah, my hunger immediately throbbed, I wanted to be immediately slaked with this menu.

It's a shame the basil was fried. Honestly, I'm not a fan of fried vegetables. I think it reduces their nutritional value. But since this isn't an everyday occurrence, willy nilly, I enjoyed the fried basil. It did make a difference.

Also, this fried egg doesn't look like the fried eggs you're used to in restaurants. It's too dry. It actually tastes like my own fried egg. Hahaha.

The Strawberry Matcha

This drink comes from a different restaurant, but it's located near Nasi Kokoh Resto. I didn't find any other interesting drinks there except for this Strawberry Matcha. It's a combination of strawberry juice and matcha. A combination that might confuse my kidneys, but oh well, they don't have any other juices available. So this became the best companion for my lunch this time.

What do you think?
