Today was a simple but happy day! I went to our small garden and harvested fresh eggplants for my lunch. The plants looked healthy, and I felt excited picking the shiny purple fruits. I washed them carefully and decided to cook tortang talong, one of my favorites. While grilling the eggplants, the smell made me even hungrier. I added some beaten eggs and fried it until golden brown. It felt nice to eat something I grew myself. My lunch tasted extra special because it came from my hard work. I can’t wait for my next harvest! Gardening is truly rewarding.
