Hello, since my college days when I moved to live in the capital of my country I knew about the diversity and international gastronomic fusion, without a doubt it always called my attention to try something different and it was precisely in a Japanese restaurant where I ate sushi for the first time, I remember that at first my palate had to adapt to new flavors such as teriyaki sauce, wakame salad, wasabi or the same eel sauce. But, after frequenting these spaces my palate created a harmony with these dishes and I regularly frequented these restaurants with my friends from college. This time, I wanted to recreate this experience with my little son, and boy, was I pleased to try this dish again.
Hola, desde mis días como universitaria cuando me mudé a vivir a la capital de mi país conocí sobre la diversidad y fusión gastronómica internacional, sin duda alguna siempre me llamó la atención probar algo diferente y fue precisamente en un restaurante japonés donde comí por primera vez sushi, recuerdo que al principio mi paladar se tuvo que amoldar a nuevos sabores como por ejemplo la salsa teriyaki, la ensalada de wakame, el wasabi o la misma salsa de anguila. Pero, luego de frecuentar estos espacios mi paladar creo una armonía con estos platillos y regularmente frecuentaba estos restaurantes con mis amigos de la universidad. Esta vez, quise recrear esta experiencia con mi pequeño hijo, y vaya que me agradó probar nuevamente este platillo.
We went to a restaurant with very affordable sushi options, I was surprised because the prices were really the same as these tempura rolls that we ordered were very good. In addition to the super nice space and with a children's area, my son drove me crazy, I thought he would not like the rolls and he ate almost all of them by himself and the thing is that he did not accept to eat them in any other way than with chopsticks hahaha... even I find it hard to use the blessed chopsticks, my son learned to use them in the most natural way possible.
Fuimos a una restaurante con opciones bastante accesibles de sushi, me sorprendió porque verdaderamente los precios estaban igual que estos rolls tempura que pedimos muy buenos. Además de el espacio super agradable y con un área infantil, mi hijo me dejó loca yo pensaba que no le iban a gustar los rolls y se los comió el solo casi todos y el caso es que no aceptó comerlo de otra forma que no fuera con los palillos jajaja... hasta a mi me cuesta usar los benditos palillos, mi hijo en segundo aprendió a usarlos de la forma más natural posible.
Another thing that I loved about this experience eating sushi with my son is that he showed me again that thanks to God he is a child who eats everything without complaining, since he was very little my husband and I accustomed our son to eat everything, also because we came from a pandemic and one of the worst crises in the country where food was scarce and eating even an arepa with fish was a blessing, then both my husband and I accustomed our little boy to eat everything and bless God for it. Otra de las cosas que me encantó de esta experiencia comiendo sushi con mi hijo es que el me demostró nuevamente que gracias a Dios es un niño que come todo sin poner quejas, desde muy chiquito mi esposo y yo acostumbramos a nuestro hijo a comer de todo, también porque veníamos de pandemia y de una de las peores crisis del país donde la comida era escasa y comer así fuera una arepa con pescado era una bendición, entonces tanto mi esposo como yo acostumbramos a nuestro pequeño a comer de todo y bendecir a Dios por ello. Gracias Dios por este día de sushi con mi pequeño amor.
