Today, I suddenly felt like I hadn't met my friends for a long time. So I called everyone, "Let's meet today." No big plan or time was set; it was all sudden. Everyone agreed. It seemed like just this small wish was enough—today would be beautiful.
We met at the rooftop of Mirpur 12. Open space, a few small tables and chairs, the wind blowing in the middle—this seemed like the perfect place for us. The feeling of ease and peace that comes from being on the rooftop is very different. The light bustle of the city around, and our small world—this meeting reminded me that this is where we are spending the time.
As soon as we met, our story began. Long-standing conversations, small laughs, memories of old days—all together, it seemed like all the distances had been removed today. I laughed at some people's words and kept quiet at others' words, and my mind felt lighter knowing how others were doing. Sitting and talking in the rooftop air seemed more natural and comfortable.
After talking for a while, it was time to eat. We all sat down and started eating together. There were burgers, fries, chicken, and noodles in front of us. After eating, we walked around the rooftop for a while and did some light shopping. Suddenly, we came across a small game corner. We all became little kids again. As I laughed with the dolls in my hand, I felt how much happiness even small joys can bring. Sharing these small moments with friends made it even more special.
When it was time to return home at the end of the day, I felt how much today was needed. No big celebration or anything special—just sitting with friends, talking, eating, laughing, and playing is enough. Such simple days are the most beautiful memories in life.
