A wonderful day, everyone... 🌞
"Manamit na, barato pa!" the sign reads
It was a perfect day for a simple family lunch..
Since no classes today, we decided to take our daughter out for a little treat.. ❤️
It was a special day for us,,
as my weekends were usually packed with work so it's a great opportunity for a simple bonding..
We found this new restaurant called Toledo's Unlimited Rice..
The place was spacious and clean,,
with long tables and bright green chairs,,
colorful cloth strips hung from the ceiling,,
and fans whirred overhead..
It felt cozy and inviting, surrounded by the lush green trees outside.
We ordered some classic Filipino food..
(haven't noticed that this guy looked pissed at me 🤣)
Anyway,,
my daughter, with a smile that could light up the room, chose a chicken barbecue, and I got a piece for myself too..

The chicken was grilled to perfection,,
with a deep, shiny brown color..
surprisingly juicy and soft.. 😋

every bite was made even more satisfying with this soy sauce, kalamnsi and chili dip.. 😋
my order comes with unlimited rice and I finished 3 cups.. 😆
We also ordered some desserts 🍮🍨
The halo-halo was a swirl of purple ube ice cream and a mix of sweet bits in a tall glass..
it was filled with red and green nata de coco,,
soft yellow gulaman (jelly)
corn, coconut strips, cheese and corn flakes..
and we got leche flan, a sweet, golden dessert with a syrupy top.. 😋

And to wash it all down, we shared a pitcher of blue lemonade..
As we ate, we talked and laughed..
We savored every bite of the smoky chicken and every spoonful of the cool, creamy desserts..
It was a simple meal, but it felt like a feast
A day like this, just enjoying good food and each other's company, was exactly what we needed..
A perfect little break from our busy lives..
