Happy Halloween!
Time to say goodbye to the month of October, and welcome November.
Although known to some in the Cryptosphere as "Uptober," this year's October wasn't exactly positive, unless you were invested in Bitcoin, perhaps.
If your thing happens to be Hive, we went $0.1928 at the close to September, to $0.1816 as I write these words. Not particularly stellar results, alas.
But here's one for you: In spite of October's reputation for being up, the price of our own token was down in October of 2016 before the great run in 2017, and it was down in October of 2020 ahead of the runup in 2021.
So, if you subscribe to the 4-year cycle theory, we're pretty much on track and following a historical pattern.
I should hasten to add that this is not financial advice, nor am I writing any of this for any reason beyond my own amusement!
With just a couple of months remaining in 2024, I am starting to get a sense for which of my 2024 goals I might reach, and which will turn out to have been little more than "wishful thinking."
It's a mixed bag at the moment, including what looks like some pretty severe misses.
In addition, it's never too early to start looking ahead, and setting a few benchmarks for 2025.
Of course, I cast nothing in stone till the first week of 2025; a lot can still happen between now and then!
Meanwhile, there's a cold wind outside and driving rain... hope it's not reflective of what's ahead!
The plan is to keep plugging away at it, even though it was another disappointing month.
I nothing else, I will at least have a bit of fun blogging!
Till the next one... Feel free to leave a comment — this IS "social" media, after all!
