Haha! I went to a shop exactly like that in Porto and nearly fell for the scam. The one in Porto had cans of sardines for every year, great trick to get people buy their own birth year.

Yes, this one had that too! If you zoom into the very first picture you can see the dates on the tins. I should have mentioned that because its a trick, like you said.
I think that its the same shop as you were at. I'm pretty sure its a franchise amd there are locatjons all over Portugal and maybe Europe. I saw the same shop in Lisbon I think, but it actually might have been Porto.
All in all, its a cool idea but the prices were insane when you think about what you're buying. I guess it works on some people... like me 😅😆
But then, I tried it so that others don't have to I suppose haha
