Cheap coffee, always

in Cinnamon Cup Coffee16 days ago

Greetings!

There's one particular habit I've been fighting hard to stop, but it's not forthcoming. That habit is patronizing the shop close to me anytime I want to make coffee, instead of buying in bulk and keeping it at home. As is well known, bulk buying reduces the price a bit, which I'm very much aware of. However, the temptation of not leaving that coffee in peace whenever I buy in bulk is always high, so I tend to visit the shop nearby to buy a particular sachet of coffee, Nescafé, which I think is the most common one in this neighborhood.

In fact, I don't get to see other brands unless I go to the bigger shops, which are always more expensive.

So that's it. I settle for this cheap type because it's inexpensive and very accessible to me. After all, the taste is the same. Oh, just a little difference—the bigger one has a more robust flavor compared to this particular one, which I think was designed for the rich. Yeah, the richer ones have more options than middle or low class ones like us. Lol

There was a particular day I needed to have a cup of coffee in the evening. I was craving it so much, but when I got to the shop close to my house, I didn't find my favorite sachet. I was forced to stroll down to the supermarket, which was the next option since the other small shops around us don't sell coffee. The supermarket was a bit far, and normally I would pay for transport to get there, but that evening, I decided to walk since there was no sun.

When I got there, I decided to go for another brand, different from the one I usually have. But when I was told the price, I didn't find it appealing, so I settled with my favorite, after all, it's just coffee. Yes, that conviction was all my heart needed at that moment, and it worked. Even the one I bought that day was priced a bit higher than what I usually buy at the shop close to my house. It's unfortunate that things in the supermarket cost more than in petty retailers' shops. That's one of the reasons I settle for this particular type—I don't pay for transport to get it, and I get it at a cheap price.

Coffee, for me, is not considered a meal; it's just a means of enjoying and easing up life. Yes, I take it when I want to have a special moment of relaxation. It's also a way to stay active, especially when I have a lot of work to attend to and need to stay awake. So I tend to spend less on it than on major food items. Imagine if I used N3,000 to buy coffee to drink, and when real hunger strikes, I start drinking water to fill my stomach. No, cheap coffee works for me.

Thanks for reading.

Ha that is so strange to me. I'm the opposite, I'd prefer to have it bought ahead of time and not have to bother for a few weeks, than constantly having to go out and get new ones. Interesting.
Otherwise, I agree, if you don't perceive much difference anyway, might as well go for the cheaper brand.

You're practicing the correct lifestyle. It's better to have it at home always than to always have to go to a shop to get it anytime you want to take a coffee. I've been trying to change my ways but it's not forthcoming 😅

Thank you!🙌

Thank you for your entry.jpg

You are very right about the choice according to your budget, I think it depends a lot on that, so if you have an affordable option at hand and you like it, there is no reason to go out of there. In the end the important thing is what you like, not what they try to sell you.

Besides, going out to buy your coffee, even if it's at the little store nearby, is a good excuse to get some fresh air and walk around a bit. It's all advantages.

Yeah, the cost and availability of money matters a lot to me whenever I'm going for coffee.

The advantage of taking air while walking to the shop. This got me smiling 🥰
Thank you for stopping by dear

Wahhh, I also like that brand and that particular one. I love the combination of sweetness and bitterness then its a little creamy too. Sipping it while it's hot will surely bring heaven! But I'm curious about the other brand if coffee you gabe.

Wait, you mean you have this brand, Nescafé in your country?
I used to think it's only in existence in my country and other countries have theirs. Wow! This is interesting.

Thank you for stopping by

Yep, we have that here and it comes on different brand. I actually have other three fav flavor on that brand. The creamy white, the black one and creamy latte. Do you have this flavor too?

Okayy,
I think the one you described is here too but I'm very fond of this particular one because it's very common

But have you tried them? But yeah, this particular is one of theit best

I LOVE COFFE AS WELL 😁😁 but i don't like Nestle :) :-)

This is the one we have very common here, the easiest to get and cheapest too 😅

Thank you for stopping by

I clearly understand your point of view and if we look deeply, many of us grew up drinking Nescafe in particular and the taste seems to be what we prefer most.

I have tried other brands and still end up taking Nescafe for one reason or the other plus not all expensive coffee will give you that 100% satisfaction we are craving at that moment so going for what you are used to isn't a bad idea.

That's just it. The taste and everything about it has mastered us and it's almost impossible to get on with other brand.
Thank you for stopping by

Lol, Mr aka-gum you have come again. There are other coffee brands that are affordable too not just nescafe.

Lol😂
Tell me, what are the names??

I can't because I'm not been paid 😁

@kingsleyy it is important that you feel satisfied with the taste of the coffee and if you find a price that covers the quality and cost it is perfect.

Yes, the price always count for me.
Thank you for stopping by ma'am
