It's a beautiful Sunday morning, and I am excited to share another yummy recipe with the Hive community. I am sorry, I couldn't share food videos in the last two weeks, and I hope this will make up for the two previous weeks.
Today, I made a suasage- doughnut recipe, and you are going to love it. It's actually a simple snack, and you don't need superpowers or special skills to make this delicious snack.
Let's dive straight into the preparation of the snack.
Ingredients
- Flour
- Sugar
- Milk
- Suasage
- Yeast
- Egg
- Butter
Preparation.
I started by making a dough, and the process was quite easy until the electricity went off.
I mixed the powdered milk in warm water and turned it into a big bowl that my electric mixer could fit into.
I added the yeast, broke the egg into the same bowl, and started mixing.
I added sugar and a pinch of salt, and the butter came in last. I continued mixing until the electricity went off, so I had to continue manually.
I turned the flour into a deep pan and added the other ingredients I had already mixed earlier to it as well.
I started mixing until the flour had absorbed the fluid.
I started kneading slowly, adding flour, water and little butter in the process, until it became a dough.
I oiled a bowl and placed the dough inside.
I needed the dough to rise to cover the bowl, so I kept it in a warm place. The weather didn't help matters because everywhere was cold and it took more than the usual time for the dough to rise properly.
After the dough had risen, I got my board and rolling pin.
I cut some of the dough and flattened it on the board with the rolling pin. Please check out the video to see how it was done.
After flattening the dough, I cut the edges and divided the flat dough horizontally.
I placed the suasage at the tip of the flat dough and rolled it up, leaving the tip and end of the suasage out.
I repeated the process until I exhausted the dough and left the sausage and dough at a warm temperature for a few minutes.
Finally, I moved on to the final process, which is frying.
I heated the pan and added some oil.
Immediately it was hot, so I started putting the suasage and dough into the hot oil and frying them under low heat.
Immediately the suasage doughnut had fried properly, I put the suasage-doughnuts into a basket to drain the excess oil.
I repeated the process for all the remaining suasage and dough, and the outcome was great in the end.
The snack is delicious and nutritious; it can be served with tea, coffee, or even juice.
