An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.
This is one of the most generic phrases that we frequently comes across in our life. It is a very common phrases that we were taught as a kids or when we were young or when we get adults. But today I wanted to put up this question to everyone how often we ever care to follow this? There were occasion that we may bring it into practice for few days and then forget the routine in our busy and the bustling lifestyle. Our lifestyle has evolved so much in the last decades or so that people are not valuing the necessity of healthy foods.
The truth is that it is extremely difficult for a person to follow a healthy diet when they have the convenience of eating regularly at fast food restaurants.

The continous change in our lifestyle has bring about a lot of changes in our health. People are favoring the easy availability of foods rather than home cooked food. I am blessed to have seen the diet of my grandfather, and my Dad. They never inclined towards the fast food that are easily available at ease and with convenience. I have always seen their likes for milk, fruits, cereals, and dry fruits. They were healthy and strong. I have an instance to share:
Once my Dad fell on the floor. He fell on his head, at the age of 77. The impact was so heavy that it created a good sound and also created a "crater" on the floor surface. On the other hand when I looked at him, he only has a minor injuries on his forehead.
I am sure if such thing had happened to any of us, we would had met up with fractured skull, and went on to spend huge money on hospitalization. He survived because of his strong nutritious diet, but now, the time has changed. The liking for fast food is huge, so much that people are adapting to the fast food chain and also pushing their kids to follow into their footsteps.
Easy and convenient foods.
Fast food is a popular choice among the people for its taste and convenience. Adding fire to the fuel ⛽️ , fast food chain are always woos the customer with heavy discounts and offers. They raining discounts either by slashing prices of existing meals or launching new value meals combo to draw customer back to them. Restaurants like Mcdonalds, KFC, Dominos, etc are now have their outlet in every corner of the world. They are spreading their web more faster than anything else. Even at high inflation time ,they offering foods at affordable rates. Finding them cheaper and convenient, it does not take people to look out for these option. Pizza, Burgers, are now becomes every household names. But people forget that these fast foods tends to be high in calories, sugar, and fat and low in nutrients. Eating such fast food frequently may negatively affect multiple areas of your body, possibly increasing our risk of conditions including type 2 diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure.
Fast food is typically loaded with calories, sodium, and unhealthy fat, often enough in one meal for an entire day. Fast foods typically contain extra corn syrup, sugar, artificial sweeteners, salt, coloring agents, and other potentially disease promoting chemicals. Which are no way good for our health.
Good food, Good mood.
The fast changing lifestyle have people limited time for themselves. People is going away from the multiple benefits of balanced diet. A diet which contain all the essential nutrients are not part of the diet anymore. People are now more fond of ready made food available in market. Peanuts, roasted grams ,dry fruits in snacks, is replaced packaged namkeens and chips. They prefer to sip on beverages rather than water. In process they are keeping themselves away from the nutrients lifestyle. Exposing them to various health hazards. Our body are now more prone to flu and Infection. Little change of weather can bring in some health ailments in us. People have lower immune system in the absence of Balanced diet. I have witness the drastic change in lifestyle of our own. But people are not much worry about it. They have the mindset that the health insurance will take care of their health needs.
The awakening.
It is important that people should realize yhe missing connection into their well being. A good health always leads to a happy life. If we remain unhealthy, we unable to enjoy the life. Like I said, it is important rather than being influenced with the fast changing lifestyle, we must stay rooted to a healthy eatingnhabits to avoid any major health loss. Once a person a diamond with any of the health ailments due to fast foods , then it becomes difficult to get back to original self. For a good healthy living a person must follow following:
- Make home cooked food as the part of daily lifestyle.
- avoid all the junk food
- Make physical activity part of daily routine. Even a 15 min stretch is good.
- Increase intake of fruits, milk and nutrient into the diet.
- ensures to stay hydrated with water, and avoid cokes and pepsi
For once it sounds harsh to neglect the fast food from life, but a little sacrifice is important for healthy well being.
