Hello Hivers, I hope that everyone is feeling good today, though throughout the day the sun was burning hot. #SummerFeels is slowly starting to manifest.

This morning, while we had our travel to the nearby municipality, we couldn't resist to stop by our favorite place in Osmena, Zamboanga del Norte. The place is popularly known as ViewPoint.
ViewPoint is an overlooking tourist spot where you can see the entire municipality and the neighboring municipalities from the top. Piduan Falls is also visible from the top which makes ViewPoint a breathtaking place to chill and relax. The accommodating chill of the breeze while you are stretching your back on a foldable chair/bed inside a native hut or bahay kubo is the best feeling ever.
From the bahay kubo, a stairway going down will leads you to a large picture frame where you can take photos with the mountains and lush greenery as the background. The stairway is landscaped with rare ornamental plants, creating an extraordinary accent making the place magical.
As you follow the stairway going down, you will reach a stage-like structure with big wooden chairs. As you look down from that flatform, your eyes will be drawn to the snake-like flow of the Piduan River below. The view is hard to resist-it's breathtaking.
Another stop along the stairway is the Angel Wings, another stage-like flatform where you can take pictures of yourself with golden wings and the blue clear sky as your background. Having a pose on this flatform is truly one of the best experience ever, and your photos will surely make you an angel for a while.
Another stop that children will enjoy is the Big Pan. It is a literal huge pan beside a dining table and chairs where you can climb inside the pan and feel like you're being cooked. Hahahah. Don't worry, there's no fire under the pan, so you won't get burned.
There is also a swing in every bahay kubo if you think you'll need an hour or two to get a good rest or sleep, while natural, fresh breeze will comforts you after a tiring walk under the sun.
Want to know how much you'll gonna pay to experience this chill and relaxing atmosphere? Just fifty pesos as an environmental fee is all you need to pay to visit ViewPoint.
At night, ViewPoint is a patch of the mountain lit up by bright lights from afar. Solar-powered bulbs and string lights will guide you along the stairway as the world gets darker. You can also spend a night in the overnight cottages adjacent to ViewPoint and witness the sunrise in the morning as it rises over the mountains. And here's more interesting information. The background mountains is Mount Malindang, the tallest mountain in Zamboanga Peninsula. Malindang is surrounded and visible to four provinces; Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.
Sometimes, we have to give ourselves a break from the restless city life. Being with nature will help restore you, allowing you to feel whole again with more energy to keep up with the demands of modern life.
I hope you too can visit ViewPoint in Osmena, Zamboanga del Norte and that this place could become your favorite as well. Bring your family and love ones and share with them the beauty of nature and the relaxation they also deserve.
