Isn't fresh food the best? Especially when it is procured with and by the ones you hold most dear! Yesterday, I took my kids fishing and it turned into an interesting trip. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the grand finale!
Before we left, I had suggested to the girls, that they bring their nets. I know they get bored when they aren't catching anything, but they had other plans anyway. Like Luna, netting fishes. Once they discovered a few shells and I explained what they were - and that you could eat clams - they proceeded to dig out as many as they could. I said we'd need at least 2 dozen to compete a meal.
El and I cleaned house fishing though. He cleaned 4 and I packed 7 home, catching 9 total. Were biting well enough for Freya to practice with her new spin cast, and she did well for her first time using one. Fish.
I know, I know, one was a foul hook and if I was in a tournament, that wouldn't have counted but since we were filling plates, totally fair game. Speaking of plates, I hope you're hungry!
