I decided to take a break from long series (Korean drama) and the only alternative was binge watching short Korean drama, seems I didn't take any break after all lol. I started a long series just after seeing these three drama. They were not recommended to me, I just found them while exploring the short Korean movies available on Moviebox.
I was actually surprised to see that there were even recent ones with great actors and actresses on TV series, it made me not think much about seeing anything less than what they have to give in their roles.
The thing with short movies, I feel they don't give enough details to every scene as they do in series but I also like that I get to see a whole storyline in less than two hours. These particular three movies had one thing in common... "Leaving me to my imaginations at the end"
Love Reset (2023)
This one had our favourite girl Jung So-min from "Alchemy of Souls" starred as a married lady who is tired of her marriage with her once love of her life. They both agree to go for divorce but while on their way back home to rethink and confirm they really need the divorce as ordered by the court, they had an accident and lost their memories.
It's a 1hr 59mins movie of comedy and romance, a couple who tries to remember why they wanted a divorce but instead remembering their happy times first.
Will they remain together when they regain the bad memories too?
I'll give a 8/10 rating for this movie, it was quite predictable but it was just as exciting to watch how the story unfolds.
Love My Scent (2023)
I didn't hold back even for a second to see this one, it had my favourite actors Yoon Shi-Yoon from "Hit The Top" and Seol In-ah from "Business Proposal", one of the series with the best supporting couple characters. A short play of a boy who receives a perfume that has a special feature to attract women and a working lady falls for him too.
It's a 1hr 48mins movie of a boy trying to make his sincerity show through the artificial love he was lucky to attract, it turned out to be fate working for the boy.
Will the lady accept this when she realizes a perfume drew her in at first?
I'll give a 8/10 rating to this one as well, not predictable but I wish there was more explanations towards the end.
Homme Fatale (2019)
Seeing how cute and lovely our Lee Jun-ho from "King The Land" play the role of a gisaeng in this movie had me excited all through. A young boy who grew up among gisaengs and in order to save the gisaeng house, he becomes the first male gisaeng serving women who are distressed and gets paid well. He falls for a flower-like lady who is focused on her brother's life.
It's a 1hr 50mins movie of foolish moves, good comedy and emotional scenes as the lovely male gisaeng tells his story to a curious young girl in his old age.
Will it end well for the cute gisaeng his first love?
It's a 9/10 for this one because I love how real the lessons given were, less fiction and I also love the old version characters they used to portray the young and cute characters. You'll understand when you see the movie hehe.
So these were an interesting watch for me and I thought of sharing them with you. At the moment, I'm seeing a long series and hopefully, I'll share more reviews. For now, check these ones out and let me know what you think about them.
