My favourite time of the day is... The Night!
For a moment, the answer sounds ironic, but if you consider a day as the full 24 hours, the night hours is actually part of the "entire day".
I think the main reason is because I am very much a night person and it's after work! This means I could do the things that I really enjoy, and not being in office rushing tasks and attending meetings.
Here's a list of things that I would do at night:
- Take long walks to exercise and clear my mind
- Meet friends over a sumptuous dinner/supper and catch up with one another
- Chat with friends on Whatsapp or other messaging channels to hear and talk about my lives (doesn't have to be face to face meetings all the time!)
- Have a long hot shower and wash the stresses away
- Do some reading and writing on Hive
- Catch up on the financial news on Bloomberg and CNBC, and current affairs on the mainstream media and social media
- Monitor the financial markets for trading opportunities, or just see what people are talking about
- Play some upbeat music on Spotify and have my own solo party at home (hehe)
- Do some simple household chores like tidying my room
- Do grocery shopping at a supermarket nearby
- Do some planning for the rest of the week, and setting some mini targets for my life
And if I am feeling a little richer (thanks to the crypto markets, lol!), I splurge on good food and desserts. I mean, after all, if I don't pamper and take good care of myself, who will? :P
Recently, I realised that there was a Shake Shack near the workplace so I decided I should pay them a visit since I haven't had them for almost a year already! Here's my meal, a little pricey, but I guess it's fine for an occasional treat.
I guess that's why some people say it's good to "be lost" when exploring new places. On my way to Shake Shack, I actually chanced upon a cafe that serves excellent Matcha drinks and many unique flavours of ice cream! So that's my dessert treat, a medium strength Matcha latte, with Goma ice cream. For the curious ones, Goma is the Japanese meaning for Black Sesame. Personally, I find the Goma flavour very rich and the scoop is pretty huge too!
