Hello Hivers!

Welcome back to this fun monthly appointment where I tell you about the updates of my garden. I really enjoy doing this post because it allows me to observe the improvements and changes over time.

Do you remember my little basil from May? It has become a huge cloud of bright green. I think it will soon be ready for a delicious pesto alla genovese.

Ciao amici Hivers!

The tomatoes are the plants that are giving me the most satisfaction, because the bunches are full of fruit, which in a few days will be ready to be enjoyed.

The courgette plants are full of flowers and fruits and I expect to have a good harvest already this week! The flowers are also very delicious, you can eat them fried or stuffed.

The raspberry plant is producing its first fruits: they are red/purple and are still ripening.

I will tell you about the misadventure with the Tuscan black cabbage. These plants were really small when I planted them, and in fact they were weak. They were immediately attacked by snails, because I don’t use dangerous substances to keep these little animals away. I thought they would never recover, but they have become very beautiful and continue to make beautiful leaves!

As for flowers, in the last post I showed you the white calla. Today I will show you two colored varieties: pink and yellow. I find them really very pretty!

Per quanto riguarda i fiori, nello scorso appuntamento vi avevo fatto vedere la calla bianca. Oggi vi mostro due varietà colorate: rosa e gialla. Le trovo davvero molto graziose!

Finally, this month is perfect for making cuttings, because it is not too hot yet and the plants root easily with little water. I took advantage of this to make some small divisions of succulents.

I have just succulents on my balcony... but I love your Calla Lilies :)) The yellow is so nice!

Ooh thank you very much 😊 they are very delicate, I also love them 😊 thanks for your comment!

Beautiful post as always! By the way, I'm sure some moderator will suggest the references to you xD. If you didn't use the internet or anything to identify, you can include :Source: information of my own authorship, since you're an expert on the subject, Have you planted passion fruit yet? Does it grow there?

Thank you for the suggestion, I added the references.

Regarding passion fruit, I think I don't live in the best conditions unfortunately 💔

Thanks a lot for your comment 😊

I used to think that Portugal wasn't a suitable place for them, but we planted them and they grew and they produced fruit twice a year. Sometimes, due to low demand, people didn't dare, just like with mangoes. I have a neighbor with a mango tree and it produces fruit.

Ah wow!!😍 such an interesting story. I know in South Italy they produce some tropical fruits like mango and avocado, but in the North (where I live) in winter we have a lot of snow 😆
