My fitness, health and energy levels over all are improving. This is great news.
Not only does it feel like I've made short term gains since recovering from the-flu-to-end-all-flus, it's more than that.
For almost two years now I've been supporting my nervous system to heal. For much of this year I've been being very deliberate about getting early morning light into my naked eyes. And I'd already been reducing my blue light exposure at night for years now.
These things have lead to my sleep quality improving and, therefore, my energy levels improving.
Which means I can do things like this 👇
A yoga and strength session before breakfast ("cardio") + a run/walk/wait-while-Brad-takes-photos ("running") session before lunch + a cruisy bushwalk ("walking" session) before dinner.
That was yesterday: 24th December. Aka, Christmas Eve.
This was today:
Another "cardio" session before breakfast, smashing out pushups and other things + a 5km parkrun ("running") on a flat ish course at a reasonable pace + a longer cruisy bushwalk (where I was "walking" with Brad again after too much Christmas food!).
And the plan for tomorrow?
Wake up early. Drink a mouthful of water, dress, pee, chuck pre-prepared food and coffee in the car and drive to the nearest ocean beach. Drink water and eat breakfast on route or on arrival and walk or run whatever distance and whatever pace I'm able to do.
Sounds like a great plan for a public holiday in sometimes stormy, sometimes sunny South-East Queensland. 😁🙌☀️
If you're a parkrunner in a country that does Xmas Day as it's special additional day, did you parkrun? And if so, where?
