First times are always unforgettable. Whether in a good or bad way. Write about the first time you did something. First time you traveled, first time you met someone, first time you cooked. It could be anything. Let us know all the details from the emotions you felt before and after, to if you even did it again.

There is always a first time in everything we do as human beings because no knowledge is innate as we have to explore and put our challenge to use before we can generally master it. In sense there is the first time for everything including traveling, meeting someone, cooking, trying delicacies, earning, getting a job, having kids, friendship, relationships and so on.

First times are always amazing because it gives you a feeling you're a windb of excitement and anxiety to try that particular thing. I remember when I went to delta State for the first time and i went there with the hopes of trying their popular delicacy which is starch and banga soup.
Although I was unable to have starch but i had a bar and banga soup and it was such a delightful thing to happen to me. I learnt the processes involved in making the delicacy it was not easy but the end process showed that all the efforts and time puts in cooking that soup was definitely worth it. Bangs soup can be used to eat any kind of swallow and even rice.
I have traveled a lot but there are many states in Nigeria that would be a first time visiting. I remembered when I traveled to Delta state to attend a friend's wedding as a bridesmaid. Traveling in Nigeria is one that brings about fear and excitement especially when travelling by road because of the numerous dangers involved such as kidnapping, bad roads, unknown gunmen etc. All the same the excitement to see a new city was amazing.
The journey was not entirely a jolly ride because of the numerous potholes and long journey. I still took my time to explore the new sights as I sat by the window, sometimes we pass through rowdy places or markets and other times it's plantations and thick forest bushes. The journey was so long that the driver had to stop at two spots so we could relieve ourselves and stretch for a bit. We also stopped at an eatery because of the long journey so that people could get snacks, food or fruits.
Then I realised that I had entered another territory because of the language spoken. There is always fear at the beginning of trying something new but that journey made me leave my comfort zone and also taught me that it takes courage to board a bus and travel a far distance to attend a wedding.
In all that, the journey was an interesting one and I learnt a whole new lot.
