A quick grocery shopping in preparation for the incoming super typhoon Uwan.

Days ago when the typhoon Tino hit my country, the Philippines, it caused so many heartbreaking scenes. Due to social media a lot of videos, short reels can be watched and it was so devastating to see. I never imagined this would happen, that the aftermath looks like AI but the sad part was REAL. Seeing an entire neighborhood almost wipe out. Some lost their homes, loved ones and properties that took them years to build. Yes, this was caused by natural calamity but maybe it wasn't like this if the money for flood control projects was spent properly.

Now, based on the weather update there is another typhoon expectedly to enter the PAR tomorrow. It has the potential to be a Super typhoon and though the expected landfall isn't here in my town, I decided to buy a few supplies as preparation.

Thankfully the sun was shining and the weather was fine, still I waited for a perfect time to go out. The local grocery store is just ten minutes walk and it was only my son and I. He was in his stroller so it was convenient for me.

Not all brands are available here but at least most of our needs are. Before going in, I left his stroller at the guard as the aisle was not that spacious.

He is walking, yes, but shopping for what we need is still a challenge as he keeps on picking anything. If I won't hold him he will surely explore 🤣.

After buying what we needed, I tied our groceries in the back of his stroller. We will be buying water at the convenience store and the storage basket could not hold it all.

It looks festive now at Alfamart, as a month before Christmas.

Good thing it's spacious here that I can bring in my son's stroller. Unfortunately no Plain Greek yogurt so I only bought one.

Now, I realized that it would be much better if I didn't purchase water. Yet, I could not leave it here so told Caleb to hold the bring going home.

It was not the first time I let him and at his age he could somehow understand.

I didn't expect he would throw it away! Thus when I checked it turns out he did as his hands were full and wanted to pick up the yogurt. I placed it in the storage in front. That was understable though.

Now, knowing he won't hold the bread I took the eco bag in my bag. Yes, if you're a Mom it is important to always be ready.

It was already a bit darker when we were going home but it was fine. Our house is not that far plus the neighborhood is safe. Just one thing for sure oldies would scold me.

It's already twilight, quite foggy, the baby!

Well, that is traditional beliefs for babies. Naa, some people I don't even know but I think they know me, especially Caleb. He was somehow well-known here as son of his father, lol.

Everything was okay not until we were almost home! Caleb started rocking on his stroller and he was too strong that the bottled water fell. Not my lucky day as it hit on the pointed stones and boom!

The water squeezed out! Sometimes this little man is testing my patience. At the end, I transfer the water left in the water bottle available here (he already consumed the half). The rest, I poured it in the pitcher and yes. I ended up drinking distilled water 🤣.

Started writing this yesterday and finished it today. While typing the rain was pouring hard and the sky was dark. I could hear the wind whistling. The typhoon didn't landfall yet but we are now under signal no.3. Hoping everyone are safe and dry.
