I was locked out of the house, so I came for this chicken noodle soup

What kind of title is that?🤣

Another ordinary day filled with unexpected things as usual. This one wasn’t too serious, but I want to write about it haha. Usually, I get home around 4 to 5pm, but that day I got home earlier maybe even before 3pm. And the house was locked. My younger sister was supposed to be at home since she was on school break, and she rarely leave the house. But that day, she with my mom and my other little sister, all three of them weren’t home, so I called them. As I expected, they went to the school that my sister was going to enroll in. So, yeah, I was locked out of the house.

I was quite hungry, so I wanted to find a place that is comfortable enough to eat and linger bit longer. I found this stall selling various kinds of noodles–the place called Eat Mie which “mie” in my language means noodle. Simple yet eye-catcing name, in my opinion.

This stall is close enough from my house, and I’d known about it for a while now, but in the morning they sell warm cow’s milk so I didn’t know that they had other type of menu in the afternoon. That's quite unique, isn’t it? Running a small fnb businness and selling different kind of menu at different kind of times. And the place is actually on the side of the road, so even though it’s small, it has a semi-open atmosphere.

I ordered the reguler chicken noodle soup. In fact, this is one of my favorite dishes. Almost everyone who know me, even my boss, knows that I really like this dish haha that’s weird. it’s a typical Indonesian noodle dish made from yellow or egg noodles topped with pieces of chicken, usually served with chicken broth, vegetables like mustard greens, and sometimes toppings like dumplings or meatballs.

At this place, it’s only cost for IDR10.000 which is less than $1, and for me it tastes pretty okay. I've my go-to place nearby when it comes to buy this kind of chicken noodle soup and it cost even cheaper around $0.5, but the space that they provide is uncomfortable so I don’t want to eat there. Usually I will take away to eat at home.

There's something about chicken noodle soup that I find no matter it taste like, i will always like it. This one is no exception. It's not the best I’ve ever had, but for that price, it’s good enough. Funnily, my mom called me and said she was home I think even before my order was served.
