Today's chapter: making Lumpiang Shanghai with a little team of young novice helpers: my son and his cousins! They started with zero experience, but I believe if we share the meal, we share the work. Everyone pitches in, kids included!
Of course, our lumpia turned out... creatively sized. Let’s call it a trial-and-error masterpiece! But the real success was how much fun the kids had.
Here’s hoping that next time I make Lumpiang Shanghai, they’ll be the first to volunteer for wrapping duty. Because as we all know—wrapping spring rolls is a labor of love... and time! It's all worth it for that crispy, savory bite, though!
